Another Covid session, or did you go to the protest instead?
Few of us gathered for the 3rd covid meeting of FAC - in stinson. We were few, but mighty. Some of us (well, maybe all of us) wish we could have been at the protest march today for Black Lives Matter, but mostly we decided to be there in spirit instead. Is there a FAC sale benefiting the NAACP in our future?

We are 4. We are shut down. We are fools.
Our fourth anniversary came without a lot of notice as we were shut ins for the Covid shelter-in-place orders, like all the rest of the whole wide world. Somehow, anniversaries just weren’t what they used to be. April 1st, April fools day, no less. How could we not have made a big deal of this? I guess it just isn’t the same via Zoom. But at least we raised a flag and got together, remotely.

OH HONEY YOU SHOULDN'T HAVE! The Fake Art Colony celebrated it's second anniversary (wood) at a small gathering on the northern California coast. No one attempted wood-blowing.
R.I.P. The Potato
Our potato, the chop used to authenticate each fake art piece, was born in Leggett California on April 8, 2016 and passed peacefully on November 9, 2017. It enjoyed what can only be described as a long and useful life. We will miss her.

Have a Bad Day!
On March 16, 2017 MAC: Modern Appealing Clothing filed a class action lawsuit against Ivanka Trump Marks, LLC for Unfair Competition. This made some people very angry. MAC received dozens of phone calls, yelp reviews, and Facebook comments that ranged from threatening and insulting to critical and hysterical. Some of these comments were memorialized in art and actions by Victoria Chaban, Mary Conrad, Dagmar Daley, Margeigh Novotny, Sam Tripodi, Vivian Walsh, Leigh Wells and Tracy Wheeler.
Whiners and Snowflakes
Ms. Tripodi supplied a Tacolicious feast, Ms. Daley crafted a delicious tomato salad, garnished with flowers from her garden. There were no takers for the Trina Turk.
Open Studio
Ms. Tripodi threw pots while fakers discussed the holocaust.
Middle Age Resistance
In anticipation of the SF rally protesting the Patriot Prayer gathering, the fakers made some banners to inspire the Mission. Inspiration provided by David Solnit and Sister Corita Kent.

It was unseasonably warm. For our absent fakers, you missed: the delivery of some superfine fake art more tooth carving Marla horsehair (wow, who knew?) guests who brought a wonderful and timely challenge the consideration of names for a hypothetical future exhibit the careful screening of content for this hypothetical future exhibit by Ms. Tripodi and Ms. Wheeler resounding enthusiasm for a name for this hypothetical future exhibit: Classy Actions (genius: T. Wheeler) a new feature we call Its Awesome. But not on me. You take it. Garments were modeled, and exchanged some unauthorized conversations about children (college) and, heavenly dessert (thank you Ms. Sultan)
Attendance Is Mandatory.
At this gathering, our previously absent fake artists will receive their bequests [McDougall, Sultan, Ehline and Yon]. Yeah well that ploy didn't work so well: some of the bequested-to were unable to attend. They missed a generous supporting-the-arts feast provided by platinum donor Matt Rolandson.
